What does the motorcycle supervisor do?

The job of the motorcycle supervisor is to monitor the work of the officers and to make a report if necessary.

What is the advantage of a motorcycle supervisor?

It is often difficult to carry out an intervention with a vehicle so the motorcycle comes to overcome this problem. The average margin for an intervention is 10 minutes but the motorcycle supervisor has a smaller margin which is 5 to 8 minutes.

Who can become a motorcycle supervisor?

Any agent, but of course you have to know how to ride a motorcycle. With this ability, you can make a request to the trainers or even the Management. If your application is accepted, you take a test which, if successful, entitles you to training. This training lasts about a month.

Have you ever carried out an intervention?

One evening, when I was finishing my service, an intervention was launched. In six minutes I was already at the scene of the alert. The operation lasted about an hour. It was in front of a bank where a customer came to make an ATM withdrawal. His card was swallowed while the bank was closed. The gentleman wanted at all costs to recover his card. Since he knew there were staff still in the bank, his pregnant wife came to sit outside the door. Obstructing the passage. The staff alerted us. After long discussions, the couple did not want to listen to reason so we had to call the police. Finally the problem was solved.

What difficulties do you encounter in carrying out your duties?

The difficulty is often with the agents. They do not respect the instructions and the supervisors that we are. We then write a report and the agent receives a request for clarification. He will then be sanctioned.

Have you ever used your weapon?

Not because during the interventions, rare are the times when we make use of these weapons. They are there as a deterrent. When the case requires us to call the police, we do so because it is forbidden to use them anyhow.
