What does your mission consist of?

The mission of the IT department is to set up the IT infrastructure, that is to say from the IT network and the equipment to the processing data. Once the infrastructure is up and running, we move on to the data management side. We had to manage several management programs that allow us to perform secure processing. And then to be able to centralize and save them so that we can have the necessary supplies when needed.

Is your work closely linked to the interventions?

It must be said that IT has an impact on the operational side of a security company. The movement service closely monitors Human Resources processing data in order to monitor the movement of agents in real time. All services are interconnected by the computer network.

We have a server where all of our programs are installed. This allows managers in the field to be connected to it in real time and, if necessary, consult our database.

Have you ever faced a computer virus attack?

Yes. This happened when the Windows 10 operating system was released to the general public. On a recurring basis, some users have noticed on their workstations '' do you want to update Windows? ''. Not being informed, there are two services that have agreed to do so. This is how the virus entered our system simply because the security system we were using was not suitable for this version of Windows.

How did you deal with this situation?

The system is such that each station has its own right of access. The occupant of a position, depending on his responsibility, has a level of control over administrative data. This made it possible to contain the attack at the level of the posts which agreed to make the update.

We also have an automatic backup system which is performed on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule. We have external drives that we connect to the server. Another disc runs every two weeks then another which only does backups.
