What is a mobile supervisor?

A mobile supervisor is a supervisor who drives a 4x4 type vehicle that we use to travel to all of our sites.

What skills do you need to be a mobile supervisor?

You have to have a good level of study, a good size.

Describe a working day for a mobile supervisor ...

The mobile supervisor is present at the base, a quarter of an hour before starting duty. Time for him to take the instructions for the day. He consults his program which is either day or night depending on the sites. There are two categories of mobile supervisors, including motorcyclists and those who circulate in 4x4s. They have the same role which is to supervise areas, ensure that agents are at their posts and then produce a report at the end of the day. The mobile supervisor is supposed to provide assistance to anyone in danger wherever they are.

What is the difference between day and night service?

I am not making a real difference. But it must be said that the daytime service seems easier given that the environment is conducive and travel easier. Usually the difficulties are encountered by new elements who for the most part experience working at night. They are in the throes of change, especially sleep because you have to be able to manage to be effective. This is where a new agent is always assigned an old one. The job remains the same whether we are day or night.

What difficulties can a mobile supervisor encounter in performing their duties?

The mobile supervisor is also a stakeholder. There is no particular difficulty, but any security guard may be faced with a situation on their site or even in the field. In my ten year career, I have not experienced any particular difficulty. Some colleagues have been confronted with real situations where there were armed bandits who ambushed them into which they fell.

Do you remember when you entered Gardian’s?

I entered through a brother who is a supervisor at Gardian’s. He suggested that I join society after my bac + 2 in geography. It should also be said at the base that I am athletic. I play football, basketball, swimming, volleyball and taekwondo. I entered directly as a supervisor.

What motivated your orientation towards the security profession?

I am the son of a soldier. From a young age, my father instilled in me military values, order, discipline. I've always wanted to join the military, but things don't necessarily turn out the way you want them to. I felt that the security profession doesn't stray too far from the military so I thought to myself why not give it a try.

What has Gardian’s brought to your life?

I would say a lot. Gardian’s gave me everything. I had my children being here, my first daughter is eight years old. I have known the ecstasy of my life since I was employed at Gardian’s. This is where I was first hired.

How to reconcile family life and work?

It is not easy. I take the case of a supervisor who works at night. He's already not sleeping at home, so he's away from his family. For my part, it must be said that I don't really have a problem. With my wife, we have already planned everything so that my absences are not in themselves a problem. Since our beginnings, we have defined the basics. It must be said that professional life generally takes the upper hand. But you have to make the effort to get there.
