IRIKA GNESSOA DIPLO FAIRMONT,

How long have you been at Gardian’s?

Since 2008

What is your job exactly ?

We take care of the vehicles of the Gardian's company. We do upkeep and maintenance.

What type of vehicles do you use for patrols?

For the patrols we use 4X4 type vehicles, double cabin pick-up.

How many vehicles are in your fleet?

We have 22 vehicles and also a fleet of motorcycles.

What are you doing concretely?

We maintain vehicles intended for interventions. Oil changes of vehicles and motorcycles when the mileage is reached.

All repairs and maintenance are done at the Gardian's workshop.

Every morning, before assigning a vehicle to a team, a check is made to make sure there are no faults.

In the event of any failure, our troubleshooting team responds quickly. In some cases, it immediately replaces the broken down vehicle in the area.

What makes your job so special?

Vigilance. We have to be vigilant and keep an eye on the grain because we are working on patrol vehicles. Cars run a long time so you have to take care of them. They require daily monitoring. Nothing should be overlooked and all problems should be dealt with immediately with precision.

What are the difficulties you are facing?

This is when a car goes into the garage and we cannot repair it for broken original parts at the dealership. Since these are patrol vehicles, only original parts are used.

How is the mechanical service organized?

The work begins for us early in the morning with the starting of the vehicles intended for the interventions.

We organize a permanence on Saturday until noon. Sunday is a day of rest but in case of emergency we intervene.

What do you like about Gardian's?

I like this outing that the bosses organize with the employees at the beginning of the year. Bosses and employees meet in a restaurant to chat over a meal. I like this atmosphere. I like the way of working, as well as the Gardian’s respect for the law and for workers.
